The Memory Palace is an awesome podcast, and one of my favorite episodes is about the marathon ran in the 1904 Olympics in Saint Louis (how on earth did Saint. Louis get the Olympics, I have no idea).

I think Chicago was supposed to get it, but I think we complained that if we didn't get the Olympics, that we wouldn't hold the World's Fair. So more or less, it was a package deal. I love Saint Louis, but I think it's going to be hard to top 1904.
