  1. Thanks BFD. I listen to podcasts while I drive and, unfortunately, I drive for many hours every week. I listen to the podcasts soon after they come out and since we both recognize good 'brain food,' I'll have heard at least half the shows in full from the original broadcasts by the time I hear BFD. Still, thank you for introducing me to a few sources that I might not have otherwise heard -- though ultimately, I may be listening to 90% of what you've already introduced me to in advance if this keeps up!

I'd love to make a suggestions list for you but by that point you'll have already recorded your own podcast.

An idea to save time for you … you might deputize people to listen to different shows (ie, FreshAir, PlanetMoney, bigideas, Economist, BackStory, Art of Manliness, intelligence squared, etc.) and tell you the top 1-2 so you can winnow the best of the best.

PS: Though older now (by a few weeks), FreshAir had memorable discussions on Water and on Wicked Bugs.
